Letter: Library board expresses appreciation
July 01. 2014 2:34PM
The Dell Rapids Carnegie Public Library Board of Trustees greatly appreciates the trust, confidence and support given us by the Dell Rapids City Council. Their decision to provide the additional funds needed to carry out the renovation and addition to the library recognizes the importance and value of having a community library that will serve the future generations of Dell Rapids.
Thank you to the many people that have contributed to the building fund. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, has been essential in bringing about the renovation and addition.
The community is invited to attend a groundbreaking event on Tuesday, July 8th at 4 p.m. on the south side of the library. Construction will start on Wednesday, July 9. The last ceremony at the library took place 104 years ago when the library was dedicated. Be part of history as we celebrate the librar. Thanks for your encouraging words of support. Thank you for caring about Dell Rapids.
