A trio of event championships at the Dakota Valley Conference track and field meet pushed the St. Mary boys to a third-place finish Thursday in Elkton.

Ariel Herrara earned a second-place spot in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 46.67 seconds.
In the 800-meter run Mitchell Roemen finished third with a time of 2:17.98.
