Chantel Brende won her third golf tournament of the season with a win Thursday at the Tri-Valley Conference meet at Fox Run in Yankton.
Brende’s 95 was the best of any girl and led the Bulldogs to a second place conference finish behind only Irene-Wakonda. The Baltic girls shot a combined 332.
Mackenzy DeLoy earned a fourth place finish for Baltic when she shot a 107, and Mariah Hanisch finished eighth with a 130.
On the boys side of the action, Baltic finished with the third-place spot after the three-man team shot a 294 in 54 combined holes.
Bulldogs Alex Hofer and Kyler Johnson both shot a 94, earning them fifth and sixth place, respectively.
Noah Brown finished 16th for Baltic with a 106.
Robert Jensen of Viborg-Hurley was the tournament champion with a score of 84. The Irene-Wakonda boys put up the best team score at the meet.
Brende finished third at the Big East Conference meet Friday, April 25 at Rocky Run Golf Course in Dell Rapids.
The freshman Bulldog shot a 94 with a 45 on the back nine to lead Baltic to a fourth-place finish. The Bulldogs shot a combined 327.
Deloy finished 14th with a 112.
Hanisch finished 19th with a 121.
Howard’s Kelsey Dawson won the tournament with an 88. The Tigers shot a team-best 290.
The Baltic boys were shut out from any medals at the Big East Conference meet. The Bulldogs finished seventh out of eight teams with a score of 301.
Hofer had the Bulldog boys’ best score. He shot a 95.
Noah Brown shot a 98 and Johnson carded a 108.
