Two Baltic boys tracksters qualify for state at Hartford

Balticís David Boer and Nick Weber qualified for the state track meet April 8 in Hartford. Both qualified in high jump with Boer making a jump of 6 feet, 2 inches, taking first place in the division. Weber placed fifth, making a jump of 5-10.
Kyler Johnson also took first place, in triple jump, 38-5. David Boer placed second in long jump, 18-3, and the 4x100 team of Lukas Jensen, Kyler Johnson, Kadin Wolff and Austin Row took second place with a time of 47.09 seconds.
For the girls, Haley Fockler took first in shot put, 31-3, and the medley relay team of Brittany Hazel, Maddy Roberts, Mariah Hanisch, Maddie Polzin placed second, 4:45.
Thursday at the Tri-Valley Invitational, Austin Row took second in the 100 at 11:6 for the boys.
Allie Walter took first place in shot put, 35-5, for the girls.
Baltic placed seventh as a team at Tri-Valley. Sioux Falls Christian won the meet with 163 points. Others competing: West Central 138, Tri-Valley 73, Dell Rapids 70, Elk Point-Jefferson 63, McCook Centrl-Montrose 20, Baltic 16.
