Conference champs destroy Lake Preston in season-ending route

A 45-0 blowout of Lake Preston Thursday night has the Cardinals hitting on all cylinders as they head into the playoffs.
Josh Brown led third-ranked St. Mary with a record setting night. He racked up 151 years on 18 carries. His three scores – rushes of three, 10 and 45 yards – brought his regular season rushing touchdown total to 25 – a school record.
Ben Bunkers also had a strong night on the ground with 107 yards on 10 carries.
Christian Schnieders had a 40-yard rushing touchdown, and Jacob Glazier had one of his own – a 6-yard score.
St. Mary quarterback Wes Heinricy had a 34-yard TD pass to Noah Fiegen.
The 7-2 Cardinals played host to Lanford Area Tuesday night at Rickeman field in 9B playoff action.
