What are you doing this summer? Join us for another fun filled summer at Haven.
We have lots of exciting activities planned, using a different theme each week: “Under the Sea,” “Wild West,” “Farmapalooza,” “Buggin Out,” “Mad Scientists,” “Mighty Jungle,” “Celebration of Nations,” “Great Outdoors,” “Animal Planet,” “Gettin’ Dirty,” “Haven Olympics,” “Splish Splash,” and we wrap up the summer with “We’ve got Talent!”
Go on adventures with us on our Friday Field Trips to area attractions like the Color Me Mine, Outdoor Campus, Washington Pavilion and Cinedome, Ingalls Homestead, Skyzone, Old Courthouse Museum, Beaver Creek Nature Area, Bramble Park Zoo, Wild Water West, All American Gymnastics, Heartland Country Corn Maze, S.D. Children’s Museum and lots of area Aquatic Centers.
Kids can come every day, or just a few (full day and half day rates are available). Reduced rates are available for those who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Students that have completed a year of Kindergarten through age 12 are eligible to participate.
Kids can also stay active this summer by participating in the summer recreation program, sponsored by the City of Dell Rapids. Students will meet for one hour a day, Monday through Thursday, for 11 weeks at the Old Elementary School gym. The children will enhance their skills at a different sport and activity each week, including team building, soccer, Taekwondo, football, volleyball, track and field, hockey, bowling, dance, outdoor games and a fitness challenge week.
Summer packets with detailed information and registration forms are available at the school offices, at Haven, at http://haven.dellrapids.k12.sd.us or by calling 366-8612. Summer Recreation packets are available at the same locations, as well as at City Hall. Registration is due April 26. On-going enrollment will be accepted as space is available, so register now.
