The Bulldogs treated their home crowd to a 55-31 trouncing of the Flandreau Fliers Tuesday, Feb. 12. while closing the regular season with positive momentum.

But the Fliers kept it interesting in the first half against Baltic. The Bulldogs allowed 13 first-quarter point to the Fliers, who trailed 28-20 at the break.

In the second half, Baltic’s Morgan Forsch and Kenzie Moe and a stingy defense helped open up a lead the Bulldogs never let go.

“After giving up 13 points in the first quarter, our defense stepped up a lot,” said Pete Egstad, Baltic head coach.

Baltic allowed only 18 points in the final three quarters.
Moe led Baltic with 16 points. Forsch had 15 points and five steals, and Allie Walter had 11 points and eight rebounds for the Bulldogs.

“We hope to continue to build off our ability to get stops on the defensive end and taking advantage of our opportunities on offense, whether through our fast-break or half-court offense,” Egstad said.

Baltic finished regular-season play with a 15-5 record.
