An efficient transition offense for the Bulldogs Friday night led the Baltic girls to a 65-30 win over Irene-Wakonda in Irene.
Baltic scored 17 points in transition during the first quarter, allowing the Bulldogs to open up a 24-5 lead heading into quarter number two.
Baltic head coach Pete Egstad said the Bulldogs needed to the win to get some momentum back.
“(It was) a great game for us to come back with after two losses to end the Big East Tourney,” he said.
Baltic’s Morgan Forsch led all scorers with 21 points. She also had four steals for the Bulldogs (12-4). Allie Walter had 14 points and 20 rebounds for Baltic, while Mariah Hanisch had 14 points. Makenzie Moe added 12 points for Baltic.
