Home court proved to be advantageous for the Baltic boys basketball team last week after the Bulldogs dropped its first game last week on the road in Hurley and won its second at home against Freeman academy.
On Thursday in Baltic, the Bulldgos topped Freeman Academy 54-48 after taking a 24-16 halftime lead.
Josiah Aberson had 22 points and five assists to spark the Bulldogs’ offense. Tom Sittig added 13 points and Edward Clark had 10 rebounds.
Friday in Hurley, Baltic lost to Viborg-Hurley 67-38.
A slow start cost the Bulldogs and the Cougars had secured a 43-15 margin at halftime.
Andrew Hora’s 14 points, nine rebounds and five assists paced the third-ranked Class B Cougars.
For Baltic, Edward Clark and Matt Moen each had eight points.
