Bulldogs split last week's games

The Baltic boys basketball team took one of two road games last week in regular season action.
A hot shooting night by Edward Clark had the Bulldogs rolling last Thursday night on its way to a 53-39 win on the Chester Flyers home court.
Clark paced the Bulldog offense with 20 points. But it wasn’t a game high. Chester’s Austin Opdahl scored 23 of the Flyers’ 39 points.
On Jan. 5, the Bulldogs were in Howard taking on the Tigers in a match they would lost 51-45.
“We played well in the first quarter and got out to a good start,” said Alex Langner, Baltic head coach. “They started hitting some threes in the second quarter and it was back and forth for most of the game.”
In the non-league outing, the Bulldogs and Tigers were tied at halftime 19-19. But in the third quarter, Howard opened up a three-point lead that it didn’t relinquish.
“We just didn't hit enough shots,” Langner said. “We got some open looks, but just couldn't knock any of them down.”
