Quarrier golfers No. 1 at Parkston Invite
Mitchell-hosted event leaves Dells on top

The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys golf team continued to add high marks to its 2012 season tally at the Sept. 4 Parkston Invite, where both varsity and JV squads took home first place in the eight-wide team field.
The varsity team walked away with a 316 total score, with Quarrier Zach Schroeder leading the team (76) to place third. Ty Hoglund supported the cause with a 79 to take seventh place.
The team was rounded out by Adam Karst, the eighth place finisher with an 80 score; Devon Weber, who took ninth place and shot an 81; and Ted LaCoursiere, who finished the day at 11th place and connected with an 82.
The first-place JV group was headed up by Shane O’Hara, who took second overall with a 50 on the nine-hole meet. Trevor Hanzlik came up with a third place finish and a 52.
Josh Parrott ended the day with a 55, while Jace Blair and Jordan Kerns each shot 57.
Rounding out the JV squad was Braeden Lightner, who tallied 65 for the meet.
