Bulldogs fall to Viking rally
Baltic football at 0-2 for season

The Sept. 7 game night served as a reprieve for the Baltic Bulldog football team, which kicked things off early Aug. 24 and have tallied two games since the onset. The Aug. 31 Viborg/Hurley match-up handed the Bulldogs the team’s second loss of the season in the away game.
The host team took off to an early lead in the first quarter, as the Vikings outpaced the Baltic boys 22-0. By the half, Viborg/Hurley doubled its score to lead 44-0. The last two quarters went scoreless, as the Vikings won the battle, 44-0.
Kyler Johnson led the Baltic boys in passing, racking up 84 yards for the visiting team, while the player additionally helped lead in rushing yardage, with 18. Matt Moen supported the cause with 14 yards rushed, while Austin Row racked up 29.
Josiah Aberson received for 48 yards on the Viborg/Hurley game, while Moen picked up 16 received yards.
Aberson additionally led the defensive, totaling 11 tackles, while Tim Wilhelmsen produced nine and Johnson, Moen, Matt Hoiland and Brady Oyen each took down seven.
Rounding out the Baltic cause were Johnson and Row’s kickoff returns, with 20 yards for the former and 44 for the latter.
