St. Mary runners yield top 10 finishes
Four rank among highest at Deubrook Invite

The St. Mary Cardinal cross country team took on competition at the Deubrook Invite in White Aug. 25, effectively placing four runners in division top 10s.
Cassy Geraets came off with the highest slot for the Cardinals competitors, placing fifth in the girls 3K run, with a time of 15:24.00. Garretson took the top two rankings in the division, with the fastest time at 13:20.00.
Additionally, St. Mary placed Kennedi Mullaney in ninth, with a 15:56.00 final time.
The girls 4K run included on St. Mary entrant, with Anna Wolles bringing the eighth-place slot to the Cardinal coffer. Wolles ended the day with an 18:51.00 time to first-place finisher Mikayla Prouty’s (Clark/Willow Lake) 16:45.00.
Rounding out the St. Mary team were three competitors in the boys 5K run, with Mitch Roemen coming off best in 10th (20:03.00), while Elkton-Lake Benton took first in Quinn Fargen (18:32.00).
Additionally, Ethan Schmidt (24th, 20:59) and Matt Farmer (25th, 21:01) ran for the Dells squad in the 41-wide field.
