Dells stays near top at away golf meets
Boys golfers yield top marks at Harrisburg

Coming off of a home victory at the Dells Invite, the Quarrier boys golf team was narrowly defeated by host team Harrisburg at an invitational Aug. 28.
The Dell Rapids golfers totaled 315 for the day, while Harrisburg went 306 for the tournament. Sioux Falls Christian came in third, with a 325 team tally.
Harrisburg’s Luke Rezac ranked first individually, bringing in 34 and 39 for a 73-point total. Second place went to Ty Hoglund, who shot 35 and 38 on each half of the course for a 73-point tying total score.
Dell Rapids also golfed Ted LaCoursiere, who pulled in sixth, with a 77 (38, 39) and Zach Schroeder, who took 13th for the day (41, 39).
Rounding out the squad were Adam Karst (85), Devon Weber (89) and Josh Parrott (95).
The boys additionally took on competition at the Sioux Falls Christian invitational Aug. 23, finishing third at the tournament out of 12 teams competing.
Schroeder led the cause with an 81 and seventh place individually. Hoglund took 12th, with 83 for the tourney. Karst (86), LaCoursiere (88), Weber (94) and Parrott (97) added to the tally, with the host team taking top honors.
