A Colman man, Jason Dereck Lee, 41, died when the motorcycle he was driving struck a deer on Interstate 29 near the Trent exit Sunday, July 15.

Lee was driving a 1992 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound near mile marker 103 when a deer entered the roadway. His motorcycle struck the deer, tipped over and skidded on its side into the east ditch. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Highway Patrol is investigating. Moody County Sheriff’s Office, the Flandreau Ambulance and the Colman Fire Department assisted.
