The Dell Rapids Quarrier wrestling team has kept busy this season, racking up wins on the road in their last four tourneys.

Tri-Valley

At the Jan. 14 event hosted by Tri-Valley, the Quarrier boys pulled out a final score of 119.5 points, ranking fourth for the day.

Tri-Valley led the tournament with a 182.5 finish, while Pipestone came in second with 165, and Flandreau pulled out 128 for third.

Brenden Entringer and Jordan Lindberg helped out the team total with fourth place finishes in their respective classes, while Jacob Haberger gave Dells a third-place rank.

Phillip Schwebach provided a second-place slot, and Jackson Entringer and Tyler Gee each finished in first.

O’Gorman Triangular

An invite in Sioux Falls at the O’Gorman campus gave the Quarriers a 2-0 finish for the night.

The invitational began with a 42-33 win versus the O’Gorman wrestlers, followed by a strong finish versus Garretson, 54-24.

Dell Rapids boasted seven undefeated wrestlers for the Jan. 19 event: Lathon Gorospe, Jordan Lindberg, Tyler Gee, Phillip Schwebach, Jackson Entringer, Chad Munk and Leon Maxwell.

In addition, Brenden Entringer, Ryan Nichols and Jacob Haberger each contributed one-match wins to the Dell Rapids coffers.

This brought the Quarriers to a 6-4 record for 2011-12.

Big Sioux Conference

A visit to Elk Point-Jefferson for the Big Sioux Conference Tournament Jan. 21 brought the Dells boys a fifth-place finish and a score of 113 points.

Fourth-place finishers for the day were Brenden Entringer (126-pound), Jordan Lindberg (132-pound), Chad Munk (182-pound) and Jacob Haberger (285-pound).

Phillip Schwebach (152-pound) and Leon Maxwell (195-pound) pulled out third-place spots, and Tyler Gee (145-pound) and Jackson Entringer (170-pound) ended up in second in their divisions.

West Central Quad

In a West Central-hosted event Jan. 24, the Quarriers went undefeated for the night, pulling out a 3-0 finish versus Howard (45-27), home team West Central (45-32) and Flandreau (44-24).

Tyler Gee, Phillip Schwebach, Jackson Entringer, Chad Munk and Leon Maxwell went undefeated for the three-match night, while Jordan Lindberg went 2-1.

In addition, Lathon Gorospe, Sutton Adams, Jacob Huewe, Brenden Entringer, Ryan Nichols, Reice Tiernan and Jacob Haberger each contributed one win to the Dell Rapids total.

With a dual record at 9-4, the Dell Rapids Quarriers will next host the Dell Rapids Triangular Feb. 2.
